Last evening there was a celebration on Oxford Street to turn on the Christmas lights. Performers from X-Factor (not sure what that is) were there to sing, the Sugarbabes were there to sing as well (still clueless). At 6:15 they flipped a switched and the entire street lit up and fireworks went off! I have a few pictures to upload in a bit, so check them out!
This will be my last post until I return from my road trip. I should have my car around 8am my time. This should be interesting!!

Today was another beautiful day in London. The sun decided to show its lovely face once again. It was rather cool but there was sun! It was a good day to stroll through a park! So I set off for Regent’s Park on recommendation of a friend. I was originally going to head to Hyde Park. Many more days to explore that though. There’s a few photos of it. The grass is so green its unbelievable. Much better than that scraggly brown stuff that i left at home.
Today was also the continuation of the Thames Festival. The closing of the festival is always marked by fireworks. They were set off from a few barges along the Thames. I made my way there in what I thought to be enough time but the full moon had other ideas. There was a disabled train on the Circle Line going clockwise, the direction I needed to go. So I had to wiggle my way down to the river taking quite a few lines, getting mixed up but finally arriving slightly late to the show. Thankfully the show was a bit delayed as well. FANTASTIC! There were 15 minutes of constant fireworks, the sound of each echoing off the historic buildings. It can get much better than this I thought.
Tomorrow starts my second week of classes. We have a scheduled theatre performance “The Woman in Black” tomorrow evening and I’m participating in a Jack the Ripper walk Tuesday. Other than that it should be a quiet week. I’ll update when I can and when I have material. Goodnight guys!
