Saying goodbye to an old friend
Sadly I received some bad news today. From 5000 miles away I have to say goodbye to my dog, Taylor. At twelve and a half nature had it’s way and he had to be put down. This incredibly hard and almost unbelievable. But it is for the best and he is no longer suffering. There isn’t much else I can do except post a couple pictures and say goodbye bud.

Hi Todd,
The photos are a nice tribute to Taylor. We’re all thinking about you.

Toddy! I’m so sorry to hear about Taylor. He was such a cutie pie! Just remember all dogs go to heaven. He’s in good hands and is now running around and keeping Pap company. Take care! Love, Kimmy
Ditto what Vanilla said. I’m so sorry. Just hold on to the happy Taylor memories.
Hugs,
ChocoKim
Todd, Someone gave this to me a while ago… Hope it helps you… I’m so sorry to hear about Taylor. Nothing replaces having him here but know he’s in good hands now and you will always have all the memories with him…
I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep
I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
“It’s me, I haven’t left you, I’m well, I’m fine, I’m here”
I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you as you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today, your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today, you tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you, that I’m not lying there.
I walked with you toward the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said “It’s me.”
You looked so very tired, as you sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.
It’s possible for me, to be so near you every day.
To say to you with certainty, “I never went away.”
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew..
In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over…I smile and watch you yawning
And say “goodnight, God bless, I’ll see you in the morning.”
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I’ll rush across to greet you and we’ll stand side by side,
I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see
Be patient, live your journey out…then come home to be with me.
Take care, Tine
Hi, Todd
I’m so sorry about Taylor, he’ll be greatly missed. Taylor made a place in your family heart and now a piece of that is gone, but what joy still stays for having a great pet as Taylor. You take care and here’s a hug!!!!!!
Love ya, Aunt Jane
Sorry to hear about your dog. We all miss you here. Asher was in town the past two days, so we all played tennis. I didn’t have to worry about any balls being hit at me because you weren’t there. lol
Hi Todd,
I am so sorry to hear about Taylor! I know I will miss that crazy dog whenever I go over next time. It won’t be the same with out him there! At least he’s not suffering anymore! We’re thinking about you and only a few more weeks until Jamie comes out! Take care.
Love,
Rachael,HJ, Morgan and Logan Patton
